Released on Monday…

Ok, the big news is I have a new “solo” album coming out in a few months’ time … and the first single is “released” on Monday, March 3.

Will update then, but the album is co-written with my brother Simon and produced by Simon Holmes.

More soon..2

One week from now…

“There’s not a babysitter free/
In the whole inner-west/
Cos Buffalo Tom are playing tonight/
and in 1995 … they were the greatest.”

Another new photo to herald the new single … which is coming soon.

New *stuff* in the works

I have been working on some new recorded material. Further details as they come to hand, but so far it’s sounding really good. In the meantime, here is me channelling one of my ancestors, William Carey, who was a convict in Tasmania, who may or may not have been held at Port Arthur.

One from the archives

An oldie but a goodie.

Surfing in Finland (??)

There’s no surf in Finland, is there?

Ah but some days your mind takes you to another place and whilst you may be in rural Suomi (Finland), you can convince yourself you are somewhere else… Maybe Bondi? Maybe Byron Bay? Maybe Margaret River…

(Filmed in Hämeenkyrö, Finland, whilst Adam was in residence at the Arteles Creative Center in Haukijärvi.)

‘Midsummer love’

On the longest day of the year/

We will stand and watch the fire/

On the longest day of the year/

We will use this as our chance/

On midsummer’s day we will stand and watch the fire/

On midsummer’s day/

We will take the chance to dance.

‘When the mosquitos win’

The mozzies are dreadful/

in Finland in summer./

So big they  mess with your head,/

make you feel insane,/

make you run for any form/

of cover./

Or relief.

‘Evening walk in Haukijärvi’

The late evening light/

Encourages a walk/

Through the unknown crops/

Down towards to silver lake.

‘In the green room, in Finland’

Surfing in Finland? Are you crazy?

But it’s amazing what you may find if you look hard enough.
